FELLOWSHIP
Toronto MIGS welcomes graduates from Obstetrics & Gynecology residency programs from around the world! We offer three unique fellowship training programs.
Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (FMIGS)
The Toronto MIGS team has the longest running American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) - accredited fellowship in Canada. Over the last nearly 20 years, we have trained numerous highly qualified gynecologists who are now providing care throughout Canada and internationally. This comprehensive 2-year fellowship focuses on training in advanced minimally invasive surgery in benign gynaecology, urogynaecology, infertility, and pelvic pain.
Please see the University of Toronto Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology webpage and the AAGL fellowship webpage for details.
Fellowship in Urogynecology
(Sunnybrook Site)
The Toronto MIGS team has one of Canada's oldest urogynecology fellowship training program. Our robust clinical and research team will mentor and train individuals in a 2-year fellowship in the medical and surgical management of urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, voiding dysfunction, bladder pain syndromes, defecatory dysfunction and overactive bladder syndrome.
Please see the University of Toronto Urogynecology webpage for details on the program and the application process.
Fellowship in Urogynecology
(University of Toronto Joint Fellowship)
Starting July 2018, the Toronto MIGS team at Sunnybrook and the Urogynecology department at Mount Sinai Hospital will form a new joint fellowship program. This training program entails 1 year of training at each site. There is an optional of a third year depending on the clinical needs and academic plans of the trainee.
